Artist Statement:
Today’s fashion photography industry is becoming less and less creative, due to diverse socio-economical influences. This project is about combining fashion with surreal composites, promoting creativity in the field. The images are inspired by personal lifetime memories, which define who I am and where I come from as a person and photographer, while confronting today’s artistic issues in fashion photography.
Its all about imagination and creating the unthinkable using creative retouching. I am very open to ideas and actually want to know what you think. Like it? Hate it? Want to see it? Comments, thoughts, critiques are welcome.
I will keep you updated with drafts and ideas while I create it, so it is an open to the public project!

February 6, 2010 – March 5, 2010 (28 days): Draft ideas.
March 6, 2010 – April 1, 2010 (27 days): Creation of final surreal composites.
April 2, 2010 – April 4, 2010 (3 days): shooting the models with designers.
April 4, 2010 – April 15, 2010 (12 days): retouching models into surreal composites.
April 16, 2010 – April 22, 2010 (7 days): final tweaks.
April 23, 2010 – April 25, 2010 (3 days): print final 12 composites.
April 27, 2010: Thesis DEADLINE, give in final prints.
What’s with this blog?!

At last.. a blog for my very own BUAJAJA… nyaka nyaka! even better a blog about photography for myself!

What: this blog, what we need to know to become a hot shot photographer, and other cool trivial stuff just for fun.
Why: because we want to be a better photographer, and most importantly we want people to know us!
Who: its all about us, we want to know more about photography in an easy way.
When: right here right now, 2010.
Where: from New York to the World.
So mainly this blog is based on interaction, so any photography questions and / or comments you have, you can just share them here WITH THE WORLD! Your voice is important, your eye even more important, soy there will be a section where everybody can comment and email me their photos and I will more than gladly publish them. I will create a personal copyright if they don’t have any, (copyright = very important, we will discuss this further on!)
Some of the subjects we will discuss are:
whats going on with photography ATM (at the moment) > new trends
which photographer is in the hot seat?
Photographer / Person of the day > destiny, cool photographers and people I encounter and admire
Top of the line tutorials (caution: HOT!)> straight out of the oven of the SVA Master Program in Digital Photography.
5W > important info in five seconds: What, Why, Who, Where and When, short and straight to the point.
Word of the Day: very fun words to think psychically about.
And other very cool trivial stuff.
Ideally the important stuff will be both in english and spanish. Anybody know some good translating webpage?

Thanks to my dearest brother harry, who was the creator of this super duper web page / blog!!! This project has been living in my head for some months now, accompanied by tons of faries, elves, and trolls which live there as well! So it was a very good thing my brother helped me get this webpage/blog out of my mind before it was too late and they ate it.
Besides har, thanks to my husband, my third eye, who is part of the creation of all my photography; my mother, who held me in her womb; my grandma, who had my mother; jony my brother, take the “n” and it spells pure joy!; jeamps my voyager of the world brother; my father and grandpa who are always guiding me, and ALL MY COOL FAM!
