As a sturdy small camera that fits comfortably even in (my) small hands! You might want to try it out first if you have large hands.
I own a 5D Mark iii and bought this one as a travel camera with no expectations of quality and functionality, as usually these are very low. But my, was I surprised when I saw the first shots in my computer! For such a small camera the results, pixels, noise and size of the file was very impressive, as well as the flexibility in recuperating highlights and shadows in the RAW format file when over or under exposed.
I took some low light, portrait, landscape, and macro shots. I was very pleased with each one. Using Adobe Lightroom, if you slightly adjust the noise, you are able to visibly reduce the noise to practically cero, which is good enough for me.
The swivel screen is a plus, as it protects itself when not in use, and the touch screen feature helps in adjusting the settings quickly when you need it.
The wireless capability is good to have, however its still pretty slow and somewhat of a hassle to do, but its good to know one can upload the photos directly from the camera in a pickle situation (been there, done that!).
Overall, I would recommend it to both prosumers with a full sensor camera looking for a small travel camera, and to the enthusiasts who are looking to have manual control as well as good quality in a compact camera.
The photo above was one of the first I took with this camera, click on it to see it better resolution.
Happy shooting!
